CrunchByte is a Discord bot hosting service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and control panel at panel.crunchy0156.xyz, and how we use and protect that information.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our services, we collect the following:

Account information including your first and last name, email address, and Discord username
Billing information including your plan type (monthly, yearly, or lifetime) and whether billing is paused
Notification preferences covering which types of emails you want to receive, such as bot events, resource alerts, and payment reminders
Authentication data including your hashed password, and temporary tokens used for account setup and password resets
Bot configuration including your bot's name, entry file, directory path on our server, runtime interpreter, and the resource limits assigned to it (RAM, storage, CPU)
Contact information if you reach out to us directly, such as your name, email, and message
Shared account user information — if you choose to share your account with another individual, we require and collect the full name, email address, and Discord ID of each person granted access, as described in our Terms of Service
Basic server logs for security and troubleshooting purposes
Bot files and runtime data including the code you upload and any data your bot generates while running

2a. Shared Account Information

If you choose to share your CrunchByte account with another person, we require the following information from you about that individual before access is permitted:

Their full name
Their email address
Their Discord ID

This information is collected solely for the purpose of maintaining accurate records of who has access to each account. It is not used for marketing and is not shared with third parties. By providing this information, you confirm you have the consent of the individual to share their details with us for this purpose.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to operate and improve the service:

To set up and manage your hosting account and the bots associated with it
To authenticate logins and keep accounts secure
To send you notifications you have opted into, such as bot event alerts, resource warnings, and payment reminders
To assign and enforce resource limits on your hosted bots
To troubleshoot issues and maintain server stability
To communicate with you about your service
To maintain records of individuals granted shared access to accounts, as required by our account sharing policy

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Cookies & Tracking

The control panel uses session cookies to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary for the panel to function and are not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use analytics cookies or any third-party tracking tools.

5. Your Bot Data

Your bot files, code, and any data your bot generates are stored on our servers. We access this data only when needed to troubleshoot an issue you have reported, or when required for a security review as outlined in our Terms of Service. We do not read through your bot's code or runtime data for any other purpose.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Limited data may be processed by essential services such as:

Hosting infrastructure providers
Payment providers (if applicable)

7. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. If you stop using our services, we may retain limited information for a short period for security and legal purposes.
